Madonna's Ray Of Light, which I've just listened to, is actually a cover of some old hippie nonsense. Guess which one is the better version.

I've widened the scope to cover versions that are as good as or better than the original.

Original: Say Hello, Wave Goodbye - Soft Cell.
Cover version: Say Hello Wave Goodbye - David Gray.

Very different arrangements, and both absolutely brilliant, imho.
