What’s going on in Spain has prompted me to play Spanish Bombs by the Clash. In fact, I’m going to listen to the whole London Calling album.

Another one I play on rotation. This album has absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Tony Blackburn's sounds of the 60' from earlier this morning on iPlayer

There is a book (forgive me if you know this) called 'Route 19 Revisited' by Marcus Gray which details - at uber geeky length - how the album was recorded track by track. If its available in paperback it'd be worth buying even a scruffy copy off ebay.
(All the stuff about Montgomey Clift prompted me to buy he book about him Guy Stevens gave to Strummer who then gave it to the others).
It's very good - as is the album. (Wrong 'em boyo live is very jolly)
