Being from Bedford, where's the best places in MK to listen to live music? I've never really been someone who goes to gigs but it's something i've always wanted to dabble with and wondered where you would recommend!

The Craufurd Arms in Wolverton is pretty good. As is MK11. The Craufurd probably just edges it for me personally.

But Esquires in Bedford is a descent gig.

You could always try The Stables and MK Theatre.

What the others have said - Craufurd, Mk11, Esquires and roadmender for your normal gigs. Stables for a bit posher stuff, in that you’ll have seats, and the theatre for the big stuff.

I've gone to the stables with my dad (i'm mid 20s) to see a Rolling Stones or Beatles tribute act before. To fill you in: a friend and I both had a Friday off work to go golfing but as the weather was dodgy we knocked it on the head that Thursday evening, so as something to do on the Thursday night we went along to a "Bandeoke" thing- basically kareoke but with a band playing instead of a instrumental of a pop song.

As there were about 5 people in there and nobody volunteering to sing the band basically just played a mini-gig, anything from Voodoo Child by Hendrix, Oasis, Britney Spears, Gloria Gaynor, Bob Marley, etc. It was 3 blokes, 1 guitar, 1 bass and a drummer.

I think it's this sort of thing we are looking at finding; not a full concert. Does that make sense?
