Why couldn’t they afford him?
He’s not a multi million pound footballer.
If it wasn't for your always contrary responses, I'd start to suspect no-one actually read these updates.
And hopefully you're right, as I think it'd be a good move for both parties.
I was basing it on the fact that he'd have to really only be a multi
thousand pound footballer for Motherwell to afford the fee, as I doubt they can pay too many six figure sums, even in this modern era. They normally get players from their own academy, on a free or loan, or from the lower levels in England. They don't normally
buy many players from levels like the championship as they just don't have the funds to deal in those markets.
And, even if he was on a free, I suspect his current wages at Forest are way beyond what they can usually offer.
But hopefully I'm wrong and they manage to sign him permanently. Or manage to extend his loan for next season as well.
I think you’re really over egging how good Ariyibi is and how much he’s earning/how much he’s cost. He’s a squad player for Forest who isn’t needed. He’s be easily affordable for them. They haven’t got multi millions to spend but he wouldn’t cost that.
