Maybe we (by that I mainly mean me) should also cut Upson a little (not all) slack. Equal highest assists. OK its only five, but it is a positive.

Sept 17 looked our best month playing Brittain right back and Williams, Wootton and Golborne, slot Lewie back in at left back then look at midfield options. My preference would be Tav, Upson, Pawlett, Tymon with A combination of Ugbo, Agard, Nesbitt upfront depending on who we are playing. Thoughts ???

More than cancelled out by how often he needlessly gives the ball away, often in dangerous areas leading to us conceding a goal. :(

So from that only two of those players are currently playing with the other gone or out.

We are so done, league two nailed on.

Play Nesbitt and Tavernier wide. Start them every game.

Assuming that Sow and Aneke aren't available start with Muirhead and Agard in the middle.

If he's fit, play Pawlett with McGrandles at centre midfield.

The defence is reasonable enough - we aren't leaking goals, we simply can't score any.

And stop trying to play fancy single striker systems when we haven't got the players to make them work.

True, the defensive stats have been reasonable enough: but not because we have good CB's, that's because we've been playing 4 or 5 defenders, with 2 or 3 DM's (DM Cisse playing as an AM).
If we to your formation, with 4 defenders, 3 wingers across the midfield (Pawlett as one of two CM's?) and two strikers, then we'd start leaking goals at the back. You're trying to solve one problem by creating another. We can't go as open as you suggest with the CB options we have available. Dan's selections have been negative - playing Cisse more advanced is wrong - but you're suggesting a too attacking alternative.

Very good post.

I preferred Oldham 4-4 to Oldham 0-1.
