Bit of a diversion from all today's activity, but did anyone go to this match in 2014, away at Yeovil ? I enjoyed that trip. It was a few days after we beat Man United....28,000 at SMK and only 300 away at Yeovil !

Reason I am posting is (a) let's hope the team gets back to the style and winning ways of that Dons team and (b) this Friday, Man United play at Yeovil, and a certain Sanchez will likely feature, and we all know how much he earns in a week....

Football - a truly "funny old game" !

Sorry to hi jack this thread but this has just reminded me of something I meant to ask. Do any of you MK chaps or anyone that travels into MK for work know if the road at the bottom of the A421 just past the John Lewis distribution centres is still closed? (Is it the Groveway?)

It is. Went that way last night. Still closed.

You will need to go on a diversion, but enjoy the highlights.

It was about a month after wasn't it? United was end of August, this was the first game of October. I remember it well, my boy Randers having to go to right back after Flanagan went off and played an absolute blinder. Carl Baker's first appearance I believe too...

Yep you are right...my mind is playing tricks...I somehow thought it was the next game after United, as I recall thinking "where are all the Dons fans now ?!" - but it was a month or so.

I liked Yeovil's ground...has been the only ground I have been to where I parked in a very quiet country lane, just 2 mins walk away ! Alexis Sanchez is going to find it quite strange this Friday ! Just imagine how much good £ 0.5m would do for a club like Yeovil rather than lining his (already full) pocket...

Worryingly my most vivid memory is someone being escorted to one of the coaches and told to get his stuff as he was neither getting in the game or travelling back on said coach for being drunk (and I guess drinking on the coach). I always wondered how much that had cost they guy to get back to MK!

£83 each for him and his wife. Don't fill the majority of a 2 litre bottle of coke with vodka, folks.
