What is the feeling amongst TCR folk on when Pete will appoint ?

This is quite a pressured situation, given our plight in the league and we are facing a relegation battle, and also with the FA Cup 4th Round looming. Pete took a fair while in appointing RN, and many of us praised him for that, for not rushing and being considered etc - although as has been proven, just because you may take a month or so to appoint, does not guarantee anything !

But this is different....time is running out on the season, with all to play for. Quite a balancing act for Pete....should not rush on the one hand, but needs to get on with it on the other. Bet he has had a manic day today, for starters....

He may have had ideas before Neilson was sacked. problem is getting said managers to buy into the plan. Any longer than two weeks is too long in my eyes even they just appoint someone till the end of the season.

More importantly there's a gap between timescale and the question mark. That needs filling first, before we can move on.

Edited. Shit gaps in the body of your post. Bigger job than first thought.

I would hope pete has been getting a headstart behind the scenes in light of our bad form in case the inevitable hadnt turned around. Not saying approach people but have a clear back up plan in case it doesnt work out with robbie. At the very least a concise list of suitable candidates then its a case of finding out who wants the opportunity to come for an interview and getting them all through the door asap in order to make a decision.

Yep...genuine question here, does anyone know who Pete will get sound advice from within (or even without ?) the club ?

I think he will appoint Rubio as caretaker to get through the short term, and then take his time and not rush. Just a guess. If Rubio does well then he gets to try before he buys as it were. Either that or I reckon he'll snap someone up this week, probably 24-48 hours, in time for the FA cup.
