No facts, just a strong gut feeling - we will NOT be hiring Grayson. I doubt he wants it; I doubt Pete wants him.

I have seen it said that Grayson would prefer to wait for another Championship opportunity.
However I wonder if a short term appointment (along the lines of Warnick at Rotherham) might suit them both?
Now is not the time for Pete to go for one of his usual appointments. But - if we stay up that might be an option for next season.
It would put Grayson back in work and offer an opportunity for e.g. Rubio or Lewie to gain senior team experience alongside a proven League 1 manager.
Just a thought.

He will be managing a Championship club. Us in two season time. 8-) 8-)

Are you after an early nomination for most optimistic poster?

I have read a few articles this morning saying that Grayson has been offered the job and will make a decision in the next 24/48 hours.

Ian Dennis of the BBC

Was that just his tweet or has more been added to it?

Nah all just media rumour.

One site had his tweet in their artical and said he had been offered the position but did not back this up with any fact or evidence

What goes down must come up....ohhh Betty. No I Am really really hoping it's Greyson. 4 promotions 2 with clubs who had little to no budgets. He knows League one inside and out. I hope we do the right thing. Even if we have to pay a little bit more surely it is worth it in the long term.

I see posters on here saying the Simon Grayson plays hoofball. If so called "hoofball" is played correctly with the right players it is very exciting to watch.
They said that the style Graham Taylor played in his first spell at Watford, would be called by some hoofball.
I had a season ticket at Watford in those days and it was great!
GT played 4-2-4 at the time, today it would probably be called 4-2-1-3.
You need two wingers a big center forward and a smaller striker along side.
Also two strong tacklers in midfield and defenders who can distribute the ball well.
Players had to be fit and disciplined and also do their jobs properly, it beats tippy, tappy lets go sideways any day.
Fans want to see goals and goalmouth action, not twenty passes in midfield and nothing at the end of it.
If Simon Grayson wants to play direct then bring it on!!!

Not good news as would have been the ideal manager for our situation.
