I don't understand why anyone still buys newspapers - but The Sun especially. Horrible, horrible rag.

The Mail is horrid of course, but it just feels like its more open and honest about its hate-mongering.

The Sun pretends to care about the working man / woman and subverses its nastiness with pictures of boobs or vouchers for £1 holidays to France. There's sonething especially sinister about the way it operates.

Another piece of rank gutter journalism, why an editor of a national newspaper would let that go to print is unbelievable, but there again it’s The Sun, what else would you expect.

Disgusting article, I hope whoever wrote that feel totally ashamed

I've never really bought any papers, even before all the news was available on the internet. Not having a side or any interest in the whole class thing, then the 'right wing or left wing paper, tabloid or broadsheet' stuff has never been anything that interests me at all. Just one of many things to do with all that class / political stuff that I try my best to avoid as much as possible, rather than wallow in it.

As regards the headline and article, then it's obviously an unnecessarily crass way to deal with a sensitive situation.

It never fails to amuse me that a lot of people actually think the Mail is any worse that all the other slimy rags out there.
I regard the British media as this country's Enemy No 1. They think they can control public opinion, and unfortunately to a large extent they actually do.

I totally agree. The media - and the family empires that own them - are a huge problem in this country.
