Local guitarist Bernie Marsden, co founder of Whitesnake has died aged 72, Buckingham born Bernie died peacefully on Thursday surrounded by his wife and family.

R.I.P Bernie

He was a guest on Gary Kemp's podcast recently. Not my kind of thing to be honest, but from what I remember of the pod he came across as a lovely guy.

Exactly my view. I liked Coverdale in Purple but didn't like the 'Whitesnake' stuff with Bernie on it (Jon Lord and Ian Paice were also in the band at one stage) at all. I mean "Whitesnake"......the album 'slide it in'..... hadn't they watched Spinal Tap? But I digress...
Yup in every article I ever read about the guy and the one interview I saw with him about 5 years ago he came across as a really really nice chap - 'jovial' was the word that was often used.
