Anyone watched it? Thoughts?

I was sceptical at first but honestly the Hollywood owners of theirs seem like genuinely nice blokes who want the club to do well for the benefit of the community. Could be playing Wrexham next season, maybe we get a cameo in a future documentary.

Disney+ ^^

I've not watched it but I'm very jealous of them.

I imagine that it's part ego and part future film. It doesn't stop them being nice guys flashing the cash.

Someone was saying on last week's Guardian football podcast that football's becoming content rather than sport these days. I kind of understand where he's coming from, but who are we to say how others spend their money? Be it a nation state, or two Hollywood stars.

One of the 1st things the Hollywood lads spend money on is fixing up the Wrexham pitch. For whatever reason it doesn’t take and the pitch isn’t in great nick. So what do they do? Pay another 300k and relay it immediately. They aren’t messing around and to be honest they have their priorities right.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are great owners, they’ve bought into Wrexham big time, not just cash wise, but have embraced the whole thing, club, community and just about everything else.

With their continued backing, I wouldn’t be surprised if they swept through the leagues and into the championship in successive seasons.

You cant deny they’re doing a pretty good job of ownership

Everything is "content" now. Football, politics, real lives. All just "content". End times.

Probably the most profound thing I've read on this forum for a very long time.

It's all just bread and circuses, isn't it?

No. It's not. NO.

That sort of reductive thinking just lets wankers off the hook.

We're in a populist political era, enabled by the horror show of social media. And yet, in the real world, people are kind, people are funny, people are caring. Never let the media etc make you mistake the fact that the majority of people are good. It's so easy (done it myself too often) to say "people are just idiots/ladybits". However, most people are lovely.
