FFS food banks in the UK...How has this become acceptable?

THAT is my point exactly. Regardless whether many, few or no people take food they are not entitled to, why are we, as a country, allowing Food Banks to be a thing?

The Daily Mail (and it's hard of thinking readers) will assume it's because they deserve it, not that they've been let down by their political masters.

Yes, Donmentor, I'm talking about you.

It never fails to amuse me that The Daily Mail is regarded as the paper that publishes crap. They all do.
Not to mention the BBC as well with their constant anti-government propaganda campaign, what ever party happens to be in power.

Unfortunately most of todays probelms go back to Maggie and her short sighted policies

1) lack of accomodation :- Asset stripping of council houses to gain election (high accommodation costs are one of the biggest causes of poverty).
2) lack of skilled owrers :- abolishing tax relief for companies to train appentices.
3) lack of coherent energy statergy :- Asset stripping the power inforstructure to award party supporters.
4) Abismal train service :- Asset stripping the railways to award party supporters.
5) Polluted rivers and water shortages :- Asset stripped and loss of control to award party supporters.
6) Selling off Inmac etc. and running down industry :- conned by the city into the belief that we can survive as a "service economy"
7) Becoming the world leader in money laundering :- to try and prop up an economy because of the mistakes in the past.
etc.

But I could also list the mistakes made by Labour and the Unions

Enough ranting lets get back to football.

No, do go on! I agree with quite a bit of this.
