Years ago when I lived on Greenleys there was often a kebab van in the car park by the shops. Stopping on my way back from The Crauford (I wasn't a veggie in those days) I approached the van. There was so much fat that the huge lump of meat actually caught fire as I walked towards it and the bloke had to beat out a sheet of flame with a towel/rag of some kind. He then turned to me in a rather embarrassed manner and attempted to look welcoming - not very successfully.
Bolstered by a lot of lager, I said "What's actually in it?"
He replied "You name it, its in it. Do you want one or not?"
I decided against it staggered off home.
(Back on topic  ) Happy memories can offset MKD traumas.

Was that the turning point in turning Veggie?

Better than that, when I got home Mrs OFD had put up the trees without me - and this evening we've been for a very nice curry up at the wonderful Purple Mango in Walnut tree

Did ours today! All looks very nice - I really like the flashing lights etc inside and out - although we don't have a front garden full of reindeer or similar - but it has lifted my spirits a bit on a cold day, reading news from Ukraine, and listening to how dire the economy is going to be next year. :D

Sorry. Seemed to have ignored this!
Well basically cos of animal welfare - which I've always been 'into'. I don't like intensive farming and all the attendant routine feeding of antibiotics so I eventually decided to put my money where my brain was. I still eat fish and cheese but am cutting down on milk.

My onions and garlic look to have survived the cold.

Also I've built a bug hotel (out of old bits of wood) to attract minibeasts. Very satisfying. Took my mind off.....something that was upsetting me. Can't recall what it was now. ;)

She arrived! 4 weeks early but all in good health. 2 defeats, 10 goal conceded and still the best week of my life by far :D

Many congratulations, Ormeau. There’s nothing better in life than being a parent.

Poor child, born the year we got relegated. Still, we might be back in L1 by the time she’s old enough to come to StadiumMK. ;)
(Congratulations really)
