I’ve just found out that Robinson Crusoe actor Robert Hoffmann has died. Folk of a certain age will always have a Proustian rush everytime they hear the theme. A staple of my 60’s childhood, along with The Flashing Blade, Belle And Sebastian and the super headfuck that was The Singing Ringing Tree.
