Would like someone not been justifiably tainted for wrong-doing, without a self-destruct button, hasn't been referred to as lazy, doesn't talk over presenters when giving an interview, rather than answering direct questions, has done a little bit of homework about subjects in the forefront of current affairs (like what the 2 regions in the Donbas are called) and applies a little bit of commonsense (like not saying anyone should go to Ukraine to fight - then denying it).

Mods, I believe that Council Kev has been locked in a punishment cell in gimp mask and leather knob restraints while someone more boring has hacked his account

To use a line from Dirty Dancing, "no-one puts my gorgeous stinking cock in the corner."

What, the way they carry on!!

My Willy is a voyeur and general sex pest, but he's never watched porn in an inappropriate place.

It shouldn’t be anybody involved with the corrupt Boris cabinet, Sunak and Truss are not to be trusted

Looking at the prospective successors, Boris don't look so bad after all.

I despise the whole Party. But why are they doing televised debates when none of us get a say in the decision? Seems pretty pointless really.

Agree that the new PM should not be someone connected to / implicit in the previous Cabinet. But struggling to see a "good" option out there.

A change of PM should always trigger a general election in my opinion. I know we technically vote for our local MP, rather than the PM, in reality most people vote based on the party and its "leader".

The state of politics right now is depressing. A Conservative Party full of amoral spivs (even more than usual), and a Labour Party that doesn't know what it stands for and literally has no policies at present. https://www.newstatesman.com/politics/labour/2022/06/keir-starmer-if-you-dont-change-your-views-you-wont-succeed

I've long said we should halve the number of MPs and double their pay. That way, you get captains of industry and people with genuine life experience to come in, rather than the two types of MP we get now: those in it for the ego and profile (e.g. Johnson, Hancock) and those who are so mediocre they can't earn £85k a year doing anything else (e.g. Shapps, Rayner).

If you're earning comfortable six figures in a FTSE100 company or other leading position in the private sector, why on Earth would you want to take a massive pay cut to become an MP and put up with all the media and social media crap that comes with it?
