Godfather star James Caan, has died at 82. Obviously every obituary, this one included, mentions The Godfather, but I’d argue that Freebie And The Bean was his best work. Not to mention one of my favorite movies, Rollerball. I love that film, and he’s fantastic in it. So this weekend I’m having a Caan double header, 74’s Freebie, followed by 75’s Rollerball.

Weird, I woke up last night thinking about that film... Mr Bartholomew......the bloke who gets turned into a vegetable during the Japanese game...the shooting the gun at the trees....the ending....

My God! Rollerball! What a great film that was and Caan was brilliant in that role, I’m definitely going watch that again this weekend

It's worth reading the obituary in The Guardian. What a boy! You wouldn't have wanted to get on his wrong side that's for sure.
