By the way Dan......what did you think to the game ?

No idea. Never made it out of the Cowshed Bar except to go to the bog. Once the bar shut, I went home.

That was something wasnt it? It was the most exciting darts match ive seen in my lifetime. I was firmly in rob cross' corner and the tension was ridiculous considering its not my top sport.

You going to the final tomorrow?

I wish! I'll be cheering on Voltage from the pub.

I've got Sunday night tickets for the Masters here, though.

Dan, if that game didn’t draw you out of the bar you’ve definitely fallen out of love with football. Fair enough, enjoy cycling and whatever else you decide to do.

The mamas and papas, the pistols in 76, the smiths (had a chance and didn’t go), the Beatles in 63, Teach In at the 1975 Eurovision Song Contest, the velvets, The Brazil team from 1970, the Sundays. Probably loads more too.

The Ramones, live at The Rainbow on New Years Eve 1977.
Thankfully for those who weren't there, we have the greatest live album of all time to listen to, and some DVD's:

The Rainbow gigs when 'It's Alive' was recorded.
OR
The Clash at NY Palladium in 79 (the night the cover shot for London Calling was taken). I've got the bootleg. Utterly awesome.

Immediately think of Hendrix in the smallest venue possible, the Beatles at the Cavern Club, Jailhouse Rock era Elvis and the Finsbury Park Rock Against Racism gig that I was too young to go and see

I would love to have been at the 1966 World Cup final and to see Emil Zatopek dominate at the 1952 Olympics

So many bands that I have missed over the years - and I am still hurting that I couldn't get tickets to see the Kate Bush residency at the Hammersmith Apollo in 2014...

...and I have always fancied a night at the Oscars

One can dream

:D
