Hello Bertie. Welcome back. I hope you, and the motley bunch of fellow travelers on here have all have a good day.
Mine's been surprisingly good and that will continue once fucking Eastenders finishes.
Thanks.
I don't get round to posting much atm but I still read it regularly.
It's been a good day here. One of the few times in the last couple of years that my brothers and I, and significant others, etc, have all been together with our parents.
They're struggling physically - and a little bit mentally in my mums case - so good that we've got to do it this Christmas. My mum passed away this year. Shed some tears yesterday I don't mind admitting.
To state the obvious, its the first Xmas I've ever known without her.
Whatever ya beliefs...yes, enjoy life with others while you can.
(As a 'rambling extra' bit I vaguely remember Bruce Springsteen saying something like "you try to give your kids all the good stuff ya parents gave you" and then - I think - add your own bits on'"). I've gone along with that. To what effect is another matter but it ain't a bad philosophy.)
