I wonder who programmes like that are aimed at? You'd think animal lovers like me, but surely most would mainly prefer to watch a pleasant show portraying the happy side of nature instead of seeing them kill and eat each other all the time? Surely all that animals do is sleep, kill (if predators), eat, shit and mate. What do you want to see them doing, putting up shelving, or doing the Times crossword? ;)
