New wetherspoons opening in Bletchley soon the "Captain Ridley's shooting party" will open on the 5th of December, do we think this could become a decent meeting place pre-match ?

Pity it wasn’t where they are building the new JD Sports.

It's a good 1.5 mile walk.

Hope it's a better pub than the Bletchley Arms. In the late 70s / early 80s, I use to go for training courses to Bletchley Park, and we didn't venture in there, as it meant an almost certain kicking ("you looking at our birds mate?" kinda thaang - think a downmarket Town & Gown scenario).

I like the new name though (one for BP history nerds, like me).

I came up here in the early 80s and was warned off that place by my new work colleagues.
The Crauford in Wolverton was my 2nd home for a good count of years.

Well, it pains me to say it, that was really quality!

Just shows what a £3.6m makeover can do for a place, not one sniff (word used on purpose) of the Bletchley Arms anywhere. It's more like a Gentlemans Club than a pub/food chain.

Great little spot for Dons fans, should they choose to use it, just to the right of the front door. Toilets, close. Front door, closer. Table ordering, how foobin close do you want!

I'll be using it again, it's a breath of fresh air that run down Bletchley sadly needed.
