Having gay sex is pretty risky anyway. Having heterosexual sex is risky.
To deny a couple the chance to express their emotions with each other because of some backward, homophobic thoughts is scandalous in 2019. Some people get murdered for being who they are, gay. And that’s not normal.
Many people from many African, Asian.. in fact fuck it, anywhere aren’t against gay legalisation solely because of health risks, they’re against it because they don’t like it. And they’re morons.
I'm certainly not homophobic, far from it. And executing people for being gay is clearly wrong (as is executing anyone for anything). But to think this is a good thing, in Botswana who are third on the list for Aids, well I can't agree.
You made a leap as well, you said to "deny a couple the chance to express their emotions with each other" but this doesn't just cover couples but rather any two people who meet. If people only had sex with long term partners then the rate would fall (gay or vanilla).
