With passing of Al Bean I decided to look up where they all were these days. It was a hell of a shock to discover that of the 12 only 4 are still alive. For someone like myself who watched it all happening, that is a very sobering thought.

I watched a really good film last year about the last man to walk on the moon. Sadly also no longer with us.

My father made me and my older sister watch Neil Armstrong's walk live. Told us we'd remember it for the rest of our lives. I can still remember him saying how brave Armstrong was, not knowing what the surface would be like.

That’s my earliest memory. Gathered around my grandparents’ telly.

I can still remember him getting us up. It was three in the bloody morning. So I guess he was right. I can still remember it.

Didn't see that Bean had passed. That is sad. As a little lad in the 60's, the USA looked so cool, literally putting people on the moon (Vietnam, dubious foriegn policy and Nixon had yet to impress themsleves on my conciousness).

Top moonwalker is Buzz, for punching idiots who continue to deny that people actually got to the moon. Utter fucktards. Something so daring, difficult and dangerous (with as many MIPS as my watch) and yet geeky wankers, whose only claim to fame is reaching some high level on some stupid computer game, fucking dare to pretend it was staged! Clunts.

When I sweep to power, on a wave of popular support, any moon landing deniers / denyers (sp?) will be shot. In the face. With dum-dums. By Buzz Aldrin.

Would’t it be when you surf to power on a wave of popular support?
Anyway hurry up, Aldrin is already 88.
