Just back from the wedding present at the roadmender. Doing George best in full plus other selected highs - bloody brilliant to be honest. He’s my favourite live guitarist to watch and he’s one of my favourite lyricists. A million miles was incredible and Kennedy was the best I’ve ever heard if. Gat fun. |

Tonight I'm off to see someone called The Pictish Trail. Not enthusiastic, the current Mrs Gers likes him, I'm being dragged along to provide someone who's not afraid of driving in snow. And it's going to be -7 tonight. He's better be good. |

What an unexpected delight that was. Wonderful gig, one of the year's best. Went from introspection to all out noise terror in the space of one song. I absolutely loved it, and all the more because I wasn't really all that fussed about going. It's Monday, bloody freezing, and in small room at The Stables, but I'm ever so glad that the current Mrs G made me go. |
