I actually think as a fan base and club, we needed to recruit Alexander.

It made us realise that an “experienced” manager isn’t necessarily better than an inexperienced one. It made us appreciate good football again and not accept watching that torrid style week in week out.

No. Pete needed to recruit him to realise that. Even the eejits in SMK knew that GA was a duff move. And most of the crowd knew that from day 1.
