Two ex-academy players released earlier in the year.

Both are now playing for Dunstable Town in the Southern League Premier Division.

Osei-Bonsu was at Wealdstone (playing in National League South) earlier in the season but seems to have left. He's scored 4 goals for Dunstable Town since moving in October.

Always really rated Osei-Bonsu, he was a man of the match contender when we beat Newport County in the Checkatrade last season and was pretty disappointed that he left - was certain he was going to get a pro deal but it never happened. I know he was training with Crystal Palace and had a trial with Derby County - did quite well there (scored a hat-trick for their U18s). Hope he gets a bigger club at some point.

They can both claim to have played for the same club as George Best. :)

Oooo.

Good to see he's still getting opportunities. We let a lot of young players go (as do all other clubs), but Osei-Bonsu is one I try to keep an eye out for. Still think he'll get signed up somewhere decent soon if he hasn't already.

I have no idea if this is happening or not but his tweets with Brandon Thomas-Asante are giving off the impression that he may be on his way back. Probably not though.

I've been struggling to find out how many games he and Tilney are getting this season. Have you any idea?
I know Larne are currently top of the Northern Irish 2nd division, unbeaten after 9 games.

From what I can find...

Tilney - 9 starts, 1 goal
Osei-Bonsu - 2 starts, 2 sub appearances

Not sure what to make of his recent tweets.

Seems like his time at Larne has come to an end, and he’s returning to MK. presume the town, rather than the club, but there’s a few tweets about hooking up with BTA again. :o I can’t believe it’s a possibility, but you never know....

I believe hooking up means something quite different to the youth.

Contract terminated (seemingly amicably judging by tweets) at Larne.

Back in England now, and looking for a club.

Obviously didn’t work out as well for him as it did Ben Tilney.

Can only go on how our recent academy graduates are getting on with the first team and how our currently U18s are doing (bottom of their league), but I still think we missed a trick letting this guy go.

When you think we gave contracts to (and later released) the likes of Logan and Furlong, it must be frustrating for him.
