That would be a genuinely mad appointment - nothing from his time at Swansea suggests he is a good manager. He has a nice vision of how to play football, but he is too arrogant to adapt it to the real world. If Brighton go for him now, they have totally fallen for the hype. He is the NFT of appointments!

I cant see it myself. Brighton aren't stupid and I would be surprised if they fall for his spiel.

In some ways a very talented coach, but in other ways, completely forgets to realise he isn't Pep Guardiola and he isn't coaching Man City. That's ultimately why Swansea are where they are.

If he gets the job, I am convinced he could sell oil to the Arabs.

The only conclusion I can draw is that they want a manager with experience of relegation fights and of bemusing fans with bullshit.

Going pretty well now.

The improvement has been since Darling and Fisher have been warming the bench.

Will it last?
They have been a really streaky team since he took over. A real mixed bag of results and form.

Bar the perennial yo-yo clubs every team in that league is very streaky. That’s the way it is in the Championship. Rather like his closing months of the 2020/21 season with us, Swansea seem to have found their groove though. That’s what a coherent tactical set up with players prepared to buy into it does.
