I can't see an existing thread so here we go.

Having joined Bristol in January he was only reunited with Tisdale for 20 days. Despite playing pretty much every game, Barton hated everyone there and was going to tear up the team regardless of relegation.

Today he has joined Cambridge United on a free transfer, despite moving for an undisclosed free and presumable a longer contract than 6 months. I'm almost certain he is still based in the MK area, so Cambridge is a less of a commute and also gives him the chance to remain in League One.

Provided his second assist in three games on Saturday, a beautiful left footed cross to the back post which was met by a lovely header. He's been a regular in the Cambridge United side so far this season starting all 7 leagues games, he also grabbed a goal recently in the League Cup against Millwall

We have 2 very good RB at the moment would you have him as cover for these and CB ? Didn't he leave because he wanted to play?

It’s not that serious I know he wouldn’t get a game really, I just think someone like him is indispensable in our squad given that he’s both a fan and a leader. He left because Russell Martin is ruthless and couldn’t fit him in, I’d imagine he’d have been happy enough to stay but that’s pure speculation

I think he's better than Watson. Probably the player I've been most gutted to leave (other than players who have clearly bettered their career)
