 Post subject: Connor Furlong#

After being released at the end of the 17/18 season, he played for Bedford Town and then Biggleswade Town. From what I can see he most recently played for Icelandic 4th-tier side Einherji, alongside former academy player Recoe Martin.

Ah, that’s good to hear. Is Recoe still there? A fellow Dons fan had a book published a little while back about Icelandic football (riding the post Euro 2016/World Cup 2018 wave), looking into how they did it, and it’s a good insight into the technical coaching and facilities provided at all levels. I wouldn’t dismiss the level just because on the face of it it looks pretty poor, they’ll be getting better coached than they would at many clubs in the fourth tier here. God knows how they make it work financially? A part time job in the tuna canning factory perhaps! :lol:
