Looks like it is now confirmed to be a free transfer but will rise to up to £40mil based on clauses. Only clauses that has been confirmed is £10mil after 20 games, no idea what other clauses needed to be hit for it to rise to £40mil.

As its a free transfer, I have no idea how this works for our sell on. I assume we just get 18% each time Everton hit a clause and have to pay out?

As I said in the rumours thread I believe this to be the case. Think about it, otherwise every PL club will let their players leave on a "free" with loads of add ons later down the line just to get out of paying out on sell on clauses.

So, if it all goes well, we end up with the thick end of £6M? Some for the Summer window, and some for the following Jan?

Nice little tickle.

Massively depends what those clauses are. Could be score x amount of goals, get back in the England team. It'll highly unlikely ever hit 40mil

I think it is a free transfer and £12m after 20 games rather than £10m. But there are only 18 games left this season so it would be next season at best.
Fingers crossed he plays well, scores loads of goals and somehow gets them in the CL!

A couple of places reporting the fee could rise to £40m eventually.

I'm not on Twitter, maybe someone can ask Toby Lock to ask the club whether we'll still get the sell on % for those delayed payments.

His decline has been very sad to watch. I hope he gets it back.

I would assume Levy would just offer us a lump to close off the clause
