Bloody hell. Pretty sad, could be the end of his career. I have great memories of that guy.

A former Dons winger named Puncheon
Went to a club for a luncheon
It might not be right
But he got in a fight
And dribbled all over his truncheon

Wow, that really is crap! I'll get my coat.

What was it Blackadder said? It started badly, it tailed off a little in the middle, and the less said about the end the better. But apart from that it was excellent.
Actually, I thought it was quite good apart from maybe the last line? Mind you, any mention of a luncheon at a club makes me think of the Drones Club so maybe I'm biased.
Reading the full story it sounds like Puncheon is charged with being in a fight and carrying an offensive weapon; not sure if he used it or if that makes much difference.

It DOES make a difference but 'carrying one' is (obviously) still eligible for being charged.

After being released by Crystal Palace, aged 33, he has joined Cypriot top flight side, Pafos FC, on a 2 year deal.
They've billed the signing as the greatest transfer in their history - although they've only been formed for 5 years.
But also as one of the most important transfers in Cypriot football.

God help Ayia Napa!
