He's still without a club but he was apparently training with Northampton earlier in the summer and he was an unused sub as a trialist tonight in their 4-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday, so it looks like they're still considering him?

‘Unused’, ‘sub’, ‘trialist’, ‘defeat’.

‘Looks like they’re still considering him?’

Hmm?

Mix all those words up, and then rethink and come back to me. :D

Simpson was again a trialist in Northampton’s latest friendly, coming on as a 2nd half sub in their defeat to Sheffield United this time.
It sounds like Curle plays a direct style and is willing to offload two of their smaller strikers who are under contract but not getting much game time.
Maybe he's interested in Simpson, with his aerial ability, but is waiting to get those off the wage bill before bringing in another striker?

I had my doubts about him like everybody did, but at L2 level for a club like Northampton he would be a good signing if he's played in a similar way to how Tisdale used him.

Signed for Chelmsford City in National League South :?

Quality signing for that level, he was still capable of doing a job for someone in L2.
