Why do league clubs keep buying Church?
And how has he played 38 times for Wales?
He couldn't hit a vestry door with an organ.

Or a cheap addition with good experience to fill a gap when your strikers are injured or suspended and can offer something different, not just goals

I agree with that point, someone can be useful up front without scoring many goals, but I couldn’t see what he offered instead. He wasn’t much of a target man like Ibehre and Revell, not physical enough to knock defenders about like Drewe did, and not particularly good on the ball.

He did run around a lot though, so perhaps that’s it, dragging defenders out of position.

When you play a match, it is statistically proven that players actually have the ball 3 minutes on average … So, the most important thing is: what do you do during those 87 minutes when you do not have the ball. That is what determines whether you’re a good player or not.
