I think I said this at the time to my dad that him getting released was premature- I had no idea that any of this was to come, I just thought that given every other youth player we have/had in terms of BTA, Jackson, Rasulo, etc were kept on far longer.

I think acting immaturely at Yeovil while on loan did for him in the club’s eyes. Some players that age can handle being away from home at a new club, some can’t.

What did he do? I just remember him being loaned to Yeovil and being their "6th" loanee and not getting in any match squads.

I guess enough water's passed under the bridge now that it can be talked about, but he basically went AWOL from Yeovil and wasn't turning up for training.

Well then what a prat! There had to be a reason that would've lead someone to do that, whatever that was I don't know or care. Shame really.

You clearly have never been to Yeovil ;)

closest i've been is Glastonbury or Taunton; I daredn't get any closer

Scored a second half hat trick for Boreham Wood today in a 5-1 victory over Kings Lynn.

Surely someone in the league is going to take a punt on him soon?

Scored 2 goals for Chesterfield away to King's Lynn yesterday. Looks like he is maturing nicely. He may well be playing in the EFL next season. I hope so. I always thought he had potential.

If he carries on, there's a good chance he will get poached by an EFL side in January.

People have been saying that for a couple of seasons now but he's either resisted a move or nobody has made an offer.

Fair play to him, lots of non-league footballers take a step up too early. He's getting better each season. I would think if Chesterfield don't get promoted then he'll make a move to L1/L2 next summer.

Yeah funny you should say that, I think I was saying this when he was at Boreham Wood

I believe Chesterfield splashing out a decent fee for him, would surprise me if he wasn't already earning L1/L2 wages.
