Interesting to read him admit his recruitment error, I think we all agree with that. I still think that our error wasn't just too quick a turnover, but prioritising physicality over skill, but I agree mostly with what Neilson said.

Why does the football world not allow people to learn from their mistakes?

It's not just the football world.

We vote you out of the BB house, off X factor and keep you in Strictly. We're not interested in growth, redemption, nuance or context. Out! Out! Out!

A very honest interview, he’s a decent bloke, I wish him all the best and hope he’s back managing soon.

We were the wrong club for him at the time

I'm feeling very philosophical. Most people are Kants. It's probably the three large G&Ts.

He absolutely ripped the heart out of this club, set us back by at least a decade, fell out with countless players, alienated the support, and pissed me off personally. Oh and no doubt his compensation cost tens of thousands.

Fuck giving him a second chance.

It can always go wrong for any manager of any team. What is important is that upper management realise things are going wrong and act. It was very clear from Oct onwards that he was wrong for the club but it was left far too long to do something about it.

Think for me sacking him was the only course of action we could take, either that or throw some money at the situation to get better players in which of course was never going to happen. I do think Robbie was very unlucky with injuries but having said that there were games where his tactics were questionable. Man management skills need the biggest change with Robbie. On the plus side he signed some decent players as well as duff ones. He leaves us with Pawlett, Rab, Muirhead who has improved immensely and I still think Sow can be a better player if he keeps fit. We saw the partnership of him and Chuks v Rotherham to see he can play decently.
