Was just about to post this too. Very impressive goalscoring record in Malta and Serie B in Italy. Apparently he played a few games for Banbury United too.

Another example of how football isn't over once a player is released. Would be great for him to return to England as a Premier League player.

Just seen a tweet from a Watford fan claiming he rejected them for £100K a week at Sharjah!

Always said at the time we should have hung on. Obviously a long time ago, but you only had to have seen him play to realise how naturally talented he was. The only thing I can say in the club’s defence is that even at 18 you’d have been going “he’ll be 23 before he’s physically able to handle English lower league football”. We’re not in a position to offer 18yr olds that won’t stand a chance of breaking through in their first couple of seasons as a pro, deals that could go to someone closer to being “match-ready”.

Just to update on this…

Last week he came the most expensive player in Gulf football history when he joined Al-Ittihad from Sharjah FC for €10M (or about £9.2M to you and me.

Given that he’s already been transferred for about £5M in his career so far, that’s some player we missed out on.

What a journey this lad has been on.

From the mean streets of MK and Banbury.....

He'll literally be sat next to Benzema every game, Coronado wears the no 10, Benzema no 9.
