He was one of our best players last season. Maybe that was the problem.

Disagree,

And it also says something that the only club interested in him was a National League club

He was a winger that couldn't cross. He was a highlight of last season but that's how dire last season was.

On the telly right now. Motherwell currently 2 nil down to Rangers.

I'll say one thing. He's twice the kid he used to be. He's massive, and is The 'Well's best player.

Why couldn’t they afford him?

He’s not a multi million pound footballer.

If it wasn't for your always contrary responses, I'd start to suspect no-one actually read these updates.
And hopefully you're right, as I think it'd be a good move for both parties.
I was basing it on the fact that he'd have to really only be a multi thousand pound footballer for Motherwell to afford the fee, as I doubt they can pay too many six figure sums, even in this modern era. They normally get players from their own academy, on a free or loan, or from the lower levels in England. They don't normally buy many players from levels like the championship as they just don't have the funds to deal in those markets.
And, even if he was on a free, I suspect his current wages at Forest are way beyond what they can usually offer.
But hopefully I'm wrong and they manage to sign him permanently. Or manage to extend his loan for next season as well.

I think you’re really over egging how good Ariyibi is and how much he’s earning/how much he’s cost. He’s a squad player for Forest who isn’t needed. He’s be easily affordable for them. They haven’t got multi millions to spend but he wouldn’t cost that.

What makes you think he’s on a fair wedge? He’s a young footballer and a squad player at absolute best for a team he’s yet to play for. I doubt he’s on much more than their younger players are. I know how much wcottish clubs pay. I think you’re forgetting I have invested interest on an almost daily basis with a club in that division.

Always thought this lad actually looked promising but was very underrated. The fact that Neilson discarded him when he was anything but poor in a poor side was baffling. And that was even more underlined by the fact that his replacements were Tavernier who played 5 games and Ugbo, to an extent was made to look even more silly. I have always felt Micciche was very much stitched up.
