I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I still love him

He turned the club around - It was a shame he left when he did but he took the opportunity when it came, football isn't like a normal job.

Did he turn the club around thou? Look at us now. He will prob leave Southampton and go to another prem club the second one comes sniffing around, prob at the worst timing again aswell. He don't give a toss about no club or fans.

Just the same as we wouldn’t have given a toss about him if he lost half a dozen games in a row. We would have called for him to be sacked.

Managers don’t owe their clubs any loyalty. They get none themselves.

I’m really pleased for him. We played wonderful football under him. That’s my memory.

Very good coach - arguably the most capable manager the club has ever had. Pleased for him even if he did fuck us over with how he left. Plus it leaves Leeds where they belong, navel-gazing in the second tier.

Fuck him and I hope his career collapses.

To say he "turned the club around" is bollocks. This place was a cesspit when we lost games in that covid season with people whinging about his style and his slow pondrous stuff. All that I just said doesn't reflect my opinion on his style, I rated it and would've had fun seeing it live but I know our fambase and there would've been audible calls for him to be sacked if we were in the ground.

He's a very good coach and has done very well, but I'm tribal and don't have a short memory - fucking smug judas prick and I'm livid he's as good as he is because I cannot wait for it to go wrong for him so I can enjoy it.

:)
And here’s me tipping him to manage England one day.

He’s a serial club hopper, always looking for the next thing before finishing anything he started, he’s being sued by Swansea City FC for breach of contract, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if he jumped ship again soon, he’s 8/1 for the Brighton managers job, a snake can shed its skin, but it’s still the same snake

He's a good coach but he cares more about himself than any club he'll ever manage. That may well bring him a very successful career, but he'll never have a true connection with any particular club and fanbase.
