Funny you should say that, seeing a Jason Blanton new club post got me thinking what utter tripe we've had play for us. The levels we are operating at now seem far better despite being in the same league.

To name but a few:

Wieger sietsma
Cody cropper
Lee hodson
Oran Jackson
Adam chicksen
Tshibola
Osman sow
Simpson
Aiden nesbitt
Robbie muirhead
Daniel Powell (best of a worst bunch)

The list goes on

Won't even go back beyond the robbo era

Agreed I don't think him or Daniel are deserving of being on that list

Both wouldn’t get anywhere near this team now. Daniel Lowell had the balance and technique of a 3 legged giraffe, he couldn’t head a ball (except that one time) and aside from being big and quick had nothing to suggest he could play football. His career progression after us shows that.

As for hodson not the worst on the list but would have been 4th choice right back last season even with tennai Watson out injured. He was genuinely a below average player and arguably our worst right back in modern years. If we signed players with the skill set of either of those I’d be genuinely worried, they are barely national league standard.

Which reminds me! Jordan Bowery! Genuinely abysmal! (Won’t mention Simon church)

Daniel Powell is one of the best one on one finishers I’ve seen in this team. I disagree about Lee Hodson too, he was just stuck in a team with two other excellent right backs for this level.

That good in his final 4 years with us he scored 13 league goals in 116 games an average of a goal every 9 games. And in the 8 years after he left us he has amassed 31 goals at league 2 and national League level at an average of less than 4 goals a year. One of the best one on one finishers doesn't have that kind of shite record.

He was rubbish and one of the weakest links during his time at the club. Robbo had no idea what to do with him despite many a failed experiment. A truly awful footballer only helped by his stature and speed.

Very harsh about Hodson. I remember him playing for Ireland against Portugal and he coped incredibly well against Ronaldo.

Not sure how someone who’s rubbish at this level gets picked 231 times

37 league goals in 137 league starts from the wing isn't bad either.

Daniel Powell was an excellent one-on-one finisher.

The problem he had was that to get to a one-on-one situation, he normally had to beat some defenders first.
