Is it possible that there is an agreement with Villa that Marschall has to play a certain number of games? I genuinely cannot think of another reason for playing him today (unless Kelly is nursing a minor injury). And surely put Harvie as wing back and bring Lewie back into defence? Still, what do I know? |

And there's also the less 'official' scenario of teams getting good and bad reputations / relationships with other clubs, based on how well they handle and progress loan players. So I'm sure there's times where that plays into the thinking of whether to start with a loan player or one of your own. And this very much feels like.one of those times, as it's hard to find a valid footballing reason for the selection. |
