What does MW see in MJ though? What are we missing. There must be something that makes him choose him ahead of Norman.

All I see is someone who is less agile than Lewington, isn’t good at tackling, isn’t actually that good at passing and fairly average in the air.

Norman is superior to him in every area.

Norman can’t do that.

Lots of misinformation over away tickets. Gilbey interview and a Citizen article stating the away end sold out, but the club are still selling tickets.

We sold out 474 they gave us. They then gave us 100 more. Not difficult but people will make it so.

I just hope it doesn’t deter anyone.

aaaaand we ended up with 568. So did not even sell out the extra 100.

MJ has had plenty of good games in that back 3. Let's not pretend he's the only reason we're losing games. He's obviously MW's preferred option out of a pretty average bunch. Norman is nothing special, Lewie isn't really suited to the right side of the defence and Anthony Stewart could well be dead for all I know. So we've not got a great selection of options. I imagine Tucker will slot straight back in, as soon as he's fit enough.

I can't defend MJ's performance today, he was vey poor. As were pretty much all of our players defensively. But can we please stop using him as a scapegoat everytime we have a poor performance. This idea that we can replace MJ with Norman and everything will be fine is nonsense.

No, Harvie was quite poor today. However, let's hope that was an exception.

MJ looks truly uncomfortable in a back three, I hope Tucker is close to a return, I’d play O’Hora, Tucker and Norman, MJ might have a role as a DM to add a bit of bite to a lightweight midfield, especially away from home, might stop a 6 - 0 battering Easter Monday.

Far too fragile at defending, something MW has to get to grips with, it’s all very well playing nice football, but utterly pointless when we’re leaking goals

So do I.
Then we can blame him.

Absolutely not using him as a scapegoat, I think the criticism is totally justified. He’s looked poor for weeks now. He’s not the sole reason we lost tonight, but he is the weakest link in a pretty weak defence.

Harvie is close to being as weak as MJ if he keeps up his most recent performances.

This.

We’ve been too vulnerable as a back three for a long time. It doesn’t help stranding wingbacks upfield when we give the ball away in the defensive third.

I recall warning you lads during the closed season, that Stockport would be the team to watch.
Still, as the mighty Cobblers are safe from relegation this season, and you look like being good for a play off spot this year, I look forward to seeing you all again soon. Dont let me down. :D
