I think some refs might have bottled the second red - or possibly even the first. The lino looked totally unmoved and did nothing - unless they are miked up and he said something; he just stood there. It looked as if the ref made the decision from some distance away (behind) the play.

I have spoke to a ref about this and the ref is the lead decision maker and it is rare that a linesperson will flag on anything other than offside or a throw close to them as the most important thing is that they all make the same decision. Think about games if this didn't happen you would have the flag going up one way and the ref giving something else on a regular basis and it would be chaos.

I honestly think both red cards were yellows. Though both times expecting to see a yellow come out and instead seeing a red did make me belly laugh very loudly, twice.

Never mind though, seeing their first player (who is shit) throw a tantrum was great, followed by Dean celebrating their second red like a goal.

Inject it all.

From where I sit, in the corner, I couldn't have asked for a better view of the two red cards. I was pretty much dead level with both of them and they looked absolutely stonewall reds to me. Both were clearly the last man with absolutely no intention to do anything other than throw Max Dean to the floor.

My view entirely.
They didn't stop to think. They just (ahem) 'saw red'. And there are consequences to that.
