Wonder what was happening on the bench. Scrap between our bench and Tranmere fans?

Have that you depressing huddle of one up two downs and one Asian greengrocer dwarfed by a derelict dockyard and three giant electricity furnaces belching green smoke all day that’s twinned with a town in Belgium that doesn’t even exist!

Performance wise I thought we were good and deserved winners but a few of the players seemed to have off days. Payne and Dean weren’t at their usual best imo. Kemp looked good to me and was constantly moving around seeking space to make things happens. My MOTM would be Williams who looked very composed all game. His pass to Kemp in the second half was outstanding. A shame the Tranmere keeper was having such a good game because the pass alone was worthy of a goal.

Williams was class in midfield. I’ve been critical of him a fair bit but he was class today.

Kemp really grew into the game. Difference now is he will be given a fair run and I’m confident he’s going to be a key player for us.

Gilbey looked back to his best. Kelly shut me up, solid game although didn’t have to do much and Tranmere made it easy for him.

Very confused by Tranmere’s approach to the game, considering they have won their last 5 at home. Until about the 85th minute, they seemed content with a draw and didn’t really seem bothered. Only then did they press us and made us go long. Not sure why they didn’t start pressing us sooner.
