Yes i expect Payne will be a decent cost to us. He never really got going at Charlton, but he was playing further up the park for them in a more physical league. He is playing deeper for us since MW came in , and he really suits that position. He reminds me of Barry Bannan at Sheff Wed in this position he is playing at the moment. he gets more space as he is deeper , and his football brain and the fact he is 2 footed means he is incredibly effective for us. He has been man of the match pretty much every game under Williamson.
