I can't see them bringing a huge crowd to SMK.
I know; pot/kettle but it's all relative. :ugeek:

Last time they came it was a Tueaday night, think they brought around 600 and they were the noisiest set of fans we'd had for that kind of number in years.

Fuck them, I don't like them tbh but credit where its due everyone who came made a racket

I have as much interest in going to watch Grimsby on a wet Tuesday evening in winter as I have of punching my own face. In fact if my son wasn't away this week I'd have given him my ticket.

Grimsby on a wet Tuesday night in late November. The epitome of League 2 football.

Sadly unable to make this one owing to a date with the glamorous mrs zen in London Town. Ironically the first football match I ever took mrs zen to pre dates the formation of our wonderful club when my football heart strings were taken by another. It was a cold Easter Friday game in the windswept north, the cloggers of Grimsby were propping up the league, and my old team were just above them in second bottom.

The winds howled, the rain lashed, 22 wholly inept footballers worn down from a season in the bottom 3 walloped a ball around for 94 minutes , never once troubling the space between the muddy white posts. But I knew there and then , sitting on that cold plastic seat, I had found my soul mate.

wish I was there tomorrow - we will win comfortably.

Also, it's the GBBO final, which I'll now miss.

I've punched myself in the face and have ordered myself to go.

Yup, neat summary of the situation.
With the the forecast currently at 1 degree at KO falling to zero by 9.00 I don't think my arthritis will stand it anyway.

Don't think there's a fishing fleet left in Grimsby anyway. Recall the last Labour Government got rid of it, on the basis they hate Britain.
