Shit on the pitch, shit off the pitch, and yet the away support is about as good as it's ever been.

What's going on?

I've wondered this as well. I think it must be the fabled 'next generation' of fans that we have been hoping for. That and people still want to watch us but find the matchday 'experience' at le stade du MK lacking.

Didn't you yourself have a time where you mostly only went to away games, or am I thinking of someone else?

I had a run of doing every game, but it wasn't away only. Then again, in hindsight that sounds like a very good idea.

Away crowd in general seems to be a lot younger these days although I'm surprised at how many older (as in 50+) fans there are that travel too. I think DonsAction have done a good job of raising support and interest.

Younger fans appreciate the louder/in yer face atmospheres more so away days seem to be more appealing than home games. Over the next few years I think our away support will continue to increase, whereas our home support if anything will dwindle further.

The numbers have remained near enough the same in terms of throughout the season is seems - though we have less issue getting bigger numbers to high profile matches than we ever have before.

Young ones have grown up, got jobs and like to spend their money on the football. That'll keep growing.

What is great finally is that we've got some chants that go on for more than 15 seconds. They might be a bit ultra shit which is cringe and horrible imo but it works so fuck it. We always sound good when we go away these days

I'm rather encouraged by the numbers.
Good on ya boys and girls.
