1 Nicholls - 6: Let down by his defense. Perhaps could have done better with their forth (being very picky)? Aware, dominant and a shot stopper. One of the successes of this season.
19 Ebanks-Landell - 4: Poor positioning, poor touch, slow. Most of their attacks came through him. He's better in a CB pairing.
5 Wootton - 5: Makes Anthony Kay look like Messi
4 Walsh - 6: He's a good defender and he was unlucky with the OG. But struggled with their big No. 9.
25 Brittain - 6: As a wingback, he did the 'wing' bit reasonably well (he can cross!). Less good with the 'back' bit but that may have been partly down to a poor display by EEL today.
6 Upson - 8: Had a very good game today. His first goal was a peach.
8 Cissé - 7: Not a fan's favourite but I'm starting to warm to him. Always available to those around him. Gets the ball and recycles it quickly and simply. I'll bet his team-mates value him far more than we fans do.
26 Gilbey - 6: Got a goal and did a job. Not a stand out though.
12 Golbourne - 5: not a great game.
10 Aneke - 7: Big, powerful and never gives up. Scared the pants off them at times.
14 Agard - 5: Poor Agard - he's really out of sorts. Apart from a lovely trap and turn (albeit with a weak shot to follow), nothing he did came off for him. Never gave up but confidence (and pace) seem badly missing.

Substitutes:
15 Seager - 5: Didn't make a great deal of difference
7 Ariyibi - 6: Only a six due to the limited time played. Exciting and creative and his cross led to our 4th
21 Nesbitt - 7: as for Ariyibi but with the addition of a very well taken goal from a tight angle. Surely he and Gboly have to get more game time?

Your MOTM - Upson. No-brainer.

Robbie - 5: EEL was getting toasted on the right and Walsh was struggling in the air against their No. 9 on the left. Why not try swapping them? The attacking substitutions worked and he gets credit for that. But our initial set up just didn't work and he stuck with it too long IMHO.

Ref - 8: A revelation. It was like being back in the Championship again, with a quality official.
Linos - 7: supported the ref well.

Us - 6: A good last 15 mins. Piss poor up till then. The booing at HT was cringey.
The other lot - 7: Good noise from a (relatively) small contingent.
