That explains why we are where we are, but also why we looked so impressive against Morecambe. Accrington and Cambridge are both a bit odd considering their league positions.

Here's the League 1 Expected Goals (xG) for 2022/23, as at 11 Jan 2023.
We improved slightly since October, as did the other clubs around us in the relegation zone, so minimal relative improvement.
