Maybe fan village wasn’t the right description but I really enjoyed the concept. Especially liked the fact it was open at half time too.

My point of view...

I was expecting so much more, sort of what they have at York House in Stony. I didn't have a burger, and indeed I didn't see anyone buying one. Saw a fair few folk with ice-cream, and loads of beer. It was at the wrong side of the stadium. Would've been so much better at the front of the ground, in the sunshine. But it's a start, and a good one at that.

The club read this and I really hope they don't get the wrong end of the stick and end it - this isn't (as I read) criticism, just necessary feedback. There is a place for this and it will work over time... the location could be pushed to the front of the ground (Cowshed/Arena) but that'd mean no half time sales. Or they persevere with it at that end of the ground so away fans can get involved - but make the product better.

Bare minimum I ask for in a burger is not to be charged £7 odd and not to be pre wrapped in foil. Thus meaning no addition to onions, cheese etc... like your regular burger van... have it on the grill ready to be served. Charge me £3 for that burger I got earlier then fine... not the price I paid

Well done for the club listening. I do feel they are slowly but surely trying to right some of the wrongs with the matchday experience, so it would be wrong for me to knock them on some of the more recent initiatives.

However I echo some of the others on this one. I was expecting a lot more and even arrived a bit earlier in anticipation. When I hear the words street food, I think of Greek/Lebonese/Italian street food etc, so I was pretty underwhelmed.

None the less, the idea was brilliant, but the execution could have been better. Listen to the feedback and do it again.

Yeah, as an experiment i suppose it sort of worked, although it would need an improvement if it was a permanent feature.

Very expensive for what was quite ordinary fare, nothing exciting or different, just the normal burgers, chips etc, but it’s a start and certainly seemed busy with the Chelts fans.

It can work with a bit of tweaking

Great that the club are trying it. I definitely think it can work with some tweaks:

1) Some more interesting food options.
2) MKFM. The music was at odds with the crowd. And the DJ treated it like your aunty's 50th - trying to whoop up the crowd rather than reading the teams news. It would've been better with a decent playlist running through the speakers IMO.

As for the location, it'd be nice to be in the sun over by Gate 7, but I don't see how there would be access to a bar.

Whilst I absolutely appreciate the effort of the club and it is good to see that quite a few from here visited, this feels like such an MK Dons thing.

With the Twitter phenomena of Footyscran and a real push for more interesting alternatives at music festivals, MK Dons answer to 'street food' is to just serve more burgers from a fancier van and then charge more. So Dons.

I may be wrong, but based on the pictures of the vans they look like the fairly corporate ones who got to larger events nationwide. Why not support a few local street food vendors offering a variety of options that regularly appear at places such as MK Biergarten or MK Eat Street?

Good to see the club has listened to the feedback and are giving it another try:

My thoughts on it:
- Glad the club gave it a go
- Would have been good if they'd let the SA know prior, to help drum up support and suggest improvements
- MK has a lot of good street food trucks (see York House every month) - I would MUCH rather it featured some of them DONE
- A better location would be gate 7, so you benefit from any sunshine (5 is in the shade) DONE
- We don't (yet) have a culture of arriving early to eat drink and socialise - so many of our fans get the the ground at 14:50. It will take time to change that (assuming the club want to) but it could be done, given the will and some perserverance
-Overall, a worthy experiment and I hope the club don't just bin it off, but instead take the lessons from today and build on it DONE

I'm gonna give it another go. Walk there, have a couple of beers and try the food. Then boo the team for playing like wankers.

At least they're trying. As it goes I don't think the response from fans was unreasonable or too far, constructive and they've listened to every bit of it. Good on them.
