Tomorrow (if he plays) will be Lewis's 771st league game and the 851st in total. That will officially put him in the top 10 all time English League appearances. That's some going. Not many who have been that loyal.

Touché. When I wrote the post I was lying in bed trying and failing to get to sleep hence calling Lewie Lewis. I meant to say not many would do that in the modern age. Most are just mercenaries who look for a pay day. At least I have seen two in my lifetime but then again look at giggs now I'm conflicted if I should like him or not
