Playing for Shamrock rovers tonight. I’ve just tuned in.

Have you nodded off? :P

It was so dull I couldn’t even bring myself to follow up. Burns did a lot of pointing and not much else.

And Bradley said: “He was outstanding, the best player on the pitch by a country mile. He’s come in as a winger and we’ve tried to adapt him into a slightly different role. He’s been really good there, you can see he’s about to click but with the injuries you say right we’ll go really attacking for the game.

“We played two centre-forwards (against Derry) with Graham and Darragh as well. He's played there once before for MK Dons but he was brilliant tonight. He gave their left-back a really difficult night and he’s a good player.

“I’m delighted that he scored because he had a few in the last few weeks he should have scored. I’m delighted he’s off the mark. He’ll get better the fitter and stronger he gets, the more he understands our system.”

Seems to be playing well in the LOI.

Really glad to see him doing well back in Ireland. It would have been a real struggle for him over here, particularly when he wasn't even making the match day squad.

Darragh scored his second league goal for Shamrock Rovers on Monday in the 2-1 win over Waterford. He's been an ever present in midfield so far and appears to be a fan favourite. The football does seem to be a bit 'direct' from the available youtube clips but at least he's getting good game time.

Most interesting comment to me is this one 'He's been operating from an unfamiliar right wing-back role but looks to be flourishing in it so far.' I wonder if that is with a view to when he returns to us, we have clearly seen MW wants his WBs to be more attacking than defence and in fact Harvie, Norman and to a lesser degree Lofthouse have been much less effective than Tomlinson, having Burns as an option on the right next year could improve our attack immensely. Mind you we will need the whole defence to tighten up too.
